Oncology Specialist Dr. Süalp Tansan stated that cancer patients should especially avoid sugar and excess weight, saying, "When a person is diagnosed with cancer, their relatives bake pastries and cakes for them. Extra calories are harmful to a cancer patient. Limited scientific studies show that if you keep a cancer patient hungry, they respond better to chemotherapy.".
“HALF AMPOULE VITAMIN D A MONTH”
Oncology Specialist Dr. Süalp Tansan, while reminding that anything that is contrary to the human body brings diseases with it, emphasized the need to revive the natural life of the Stone Age.
Dr. Tansan stated that fresh, seasonal, unpackaged, natural, and daily-cooked vegetables and fruits should be consumed, and that plenty of water should be drunk. Touching upon what cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy should do, Dr. Süalp Tansan said:
“I will speak from my 21 years of experience. First, you need to stay away from sugar. This applies to everyone. Sugar is one of the substances used to image cancer. Sugar is the only substance that cancerous cells attach to, while healthy cells do not. Second, vitamin D is very important. But now, sunlight is very harmful. It has acquired carcinogenic properties. Melanoma, a type of cancer, is epidemic in Australia. It is also becoming widespread in Scandinavian countries. Protect yourself from the sun, but every month, break half an ampoule of vitamin D, and every two months, break one ampoule, mix it with olive oil, and drink it after meals. If there is a vitamin D deficiency in the body, no matter how much calcium you take, it will be useless. In the last 3 years, we have screened over 300 patients. Their vitamin D levels are very bad. They are extremely low. Except for the months when you get sunburned unintentionally in the summer, you must take vitamin D.’
“"200 GRAMS OF MEAT EVERY DAY DURING CHEMOTHERAPY"”
Tansan, emphasizing that cancer patients are often fed excessive amounts of food by their relatives during treatment, continued his warnings as follows:
“When someone learns they have cancer, their relatives bake pastries and cakes for them. Extra calories are harmful to a cancer patient. Limited scientific research shows that if you keep a cancer patient hungry, they respond better to chemotherapy. The side effects of chemotherapy are also reduced. According to our studies, there is only one exception: meat. In patients who don't eat meat, their blood counts drop very quickly. The patient cannot tolerate chemotherapy. My recommendation is to eat 200 grams of meat, vegetables, and fruits every day only during chemotherapy. Sugar should be avoided. Excess weight is a major problem, especially for breast cancer.”
“"30 GRAMS OF MEAT PER DAY IS ENOUGH"”
Associate Professor Dr. Canfeza Sezgin also emphasized that cancer risk can be reduced by paying attention to nutrition, stating that everyone should consume at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. She mentioned that she recommends eating whole fruits instead of fruit juice to her patients, and added the following:
“30 grams of meat a day is enough. If this amount increases to 100 grams, it will kill you prematurely. Chickens raised in confined spaces on farms can do more harm than good. The only thing that can be safely consumed in Türkiye is fish. The use of fried foods, margarine, and butter should be restricted. Organic products should be preferred. Medicinal spices, grains, vegetables and fruits, and non-GMO soy should be consumed. Industrial milk contains growth-promoting substances and antibiotics. Instead of this milk, which increases the risk of bowel, breast, and prostate cancer, organic milk or soy milk should be preferred.”
“"EVERYONE SHOULD INCORPORATE VEGETABLE JUICE INTO THEIR LIVES."”
Dr. Ayşegül Çoruhlu, explaining the 'Alkaline Diet,' stated that nutritional problems pave the way for cancer. Considering all processed and animal-based foods entering the stomach as waste, Çoruhlu said the following:
“The body accumulates what it cannot eliminate through urine, feces, and breath. If it accumulates in our hips, it means we've eaten too much; if it accumulates in the abdominal area, it means we've had poor nutrition. Various trendy diets are being put forward, but the important thing is healthy weight loss. This is evident from the reduction of fat around the waist. For healthy eating, we should consume plenty of fruits and vegetables. Everyone should incorporate vegetable juice into their lives. The most important thing that prolongs life is vegetables, and they should be eaten raw if possible. If we consume animal products and flour-based foods, we must include vegetables alongside them. We should eliminate dinner from our lives. Dinner shortens lifespan. Instead of milk and dairy products, we should incorporate kefir and cottage cheese into our lives.”
Dr. Can Başaran stated that cancer begins in a single cell, and noted that smoking, chemical substances, diet, genetics, and radiation are among the causes of cancer.
