He was born in Istanbul in 1959.

He completed his middle and high school education at Kadıköy Anatolian High School.

He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1983.

After completing two years of compulsory service, he pursued residency in Internal Medicine and subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at Boston University Teaching Hospitals in the United States. He passed the American Board of Internal Medicine exam with a score in the 98th percentile.

Between 1991 and 1995, he served as the Director of the Chemotherapy Clinic and Coordinator of Advanced Training at Boston University. During these years, in addition to publishing scientific papers on various topics, he became the hospital's most prolific Oncology Specialist.

He received the "Distinguished Physician Award (1991-1995)" from Boston University for his services to Boston University School of Medicine and Hospital.

Dr. Süalp Tansan came to Türkiye in 1995 and founded the Tansan Oncology Center, where the most advanced cancer treatment methods are applied.

Having performed over 100,000 examinations and chemotherapy treatments since 1995, the clinic continues to operate under the name Private Tansan Polyclinic.
